MARKET FOR EGGS
DECLINE IN PRICES (Received Nov. 28, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 27. Tho egg market failed to maintain the position mentioned a fortnight ago. Prices have given way by about Is (id a long hundred. This is chiefly due to heavy supplies, for this week tho market has had to deal with no fewer Hum 100,000 boxes of: A list, ration, containing 30,000,000 eggs. In addition there has been large arrivals from .South Africa, Argentina, and Uruguay, all of which come into direct competition with Australian, as they .are of good quality, well packed, and graded. Another cause of weakness in Australians is that too many small receivers are handling them, sometimes undercutting large importers.
