On his return to Wellington lie tejld an interviewer that Fiji sugar prices were depressed by the inordinately low prices ruling in various parts of the world. The particular sale, to which he referred would, of course, entail enormously heavy loss to the pro- i ducer, for the transit charges alone from Germany to London would amount to ] something like 18s a ton. Potties’ advertise particulars of two big special lines of ladies' hats, j bought at really sensational prices. In all there are over 300 hats, in the latest straws, all new and becoming shapes, and all head fittings. Really worth from 12/6 to 35/6, these hats are priced at 3/H, 6/11, and 9/11.* (
