Lowndes, formerly of this town and now holding an important post, in -lie Citizens’ Mutual Life Company in Sydney, to take up organisation work at the London headquarters of the company. Mr. Lowndes expects to be a year or two in Great Britain under the terms of his undertaking, and is being accompanied by Mrs. Lowndes, who was Miss M. Hcnnessy, of Gisborne.
