Tennis is becoming increasingly popular this season, and the Wairoa Tennis Club is fortunate in having so many enthusiastic devotees at work this season. The keenest interest is being taken in the competition and the ladder matches. The standard of play has shown a decided improvement and there should be some interesting games during the rest of the season. The first four on the ladder this season areLadies: Miss Ross, Mrs Goldstone, Miss Kenny and Miss Bain. Men: R. McIntyre, Cowan, Grant and Withers.
