ATLANTIC SHIPPING
FARES GO UP AGAIN
(Received Nov. 20, noon.)
LONDON, Nov. 25,
The Atlantic Shipping Conference decided not to continue fully the heavy cuts announced on April 15, and agreed to a 0 per cent, increase in first, and second-class fares.
The reduced fares failed to materially increase passenger traffic, causing several members of the conference to threaten to resign.
The new decision is generally acceptable.
