AUCKLAND BOY’S TRIP
Rob Roberts, a 12-vear-old Auckland lad, crippled by infantile paralysis, arrived at- Sydney on November 16 by the Zealamlia to submit, to a, series of severe operat ions. The boy came under (be notice of the Auckland' Rotary Club, says the Sydney Daily Telegraph, and arrangements were made for him to bo sent to Sydney to Rev. S. G. Drummond, bead of the Fat West Children’s Scheme. Mr. Drum mond met the lad when the vessel bert bed.
“Until I was four years of age I could walk,” said Roy. “The infantile paralysis got me and I have been like this ever since. My parents came to see me off at Auckland, it was not hard to Imparted from them, because I know that there is a chance of getting well again. This is the longest, and the only, trip I have ever made alone. “1 was seasick —terribly seasick—for a long time. And they told me it was going to.be a nice voyage! When 1 go back I would like it to be by aeroplane.”
