'J’.HE National Council of Women in South Africa have unanimously decided to press for abolition of sex restrictions to service on juries, A woman, to be . included on tho jury list, must own fixed property valued at £3OO, or have an income of £l5O per annum, arid, if • married,.n separate estate. Certain occupations disqualify. She must wot be less tha n 35 nor more than 00 yours of ago. She Ims an opportunity every three years to make written application to serve as a juiywoman, but, unless 18 eligible v omen of the . same districtoffer their services, none is enrolled. This is-necessary because mixed juries are not, permuted in South Africa,
