HITLER’S PROPOSAL
REJECTED BY PRESIDENT (Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Nov. 25, 2 p.m.) BERLIN, Nov. 24. The President,. Marshal von Himlenburg, rejected Herr Hitler’s proposal : “I cannot gives a party leader presidential powers. Wucli a Cabinet would be bound to develop into a party dictatorship and increase the tension among the people. 1 cannot take the responsibility for such a course before my bath and conscience." The Nazis accuse Marshal von Hindeiiburg of playing an unfair game, and say he never intended to give Herr Hitler power.
