BUYING RATES UNCHANGED No further change 'lias taken place in the export buying rates in Gisborne, and lamb continues on the 4d basis. Waikato rates are dd per lb. above those in Gisborne, and the Waikato schedule for lamb is 4Jd, 1.2 s !)d for 361 b.; for wethers, 2gd, under 481 b., 11s 6d: and for ewes, ltd, to 6s for the same weight. Altogether it is a much brighter picture than a week or two .ago. Tlio Auckland Herald states: “The possibility exists that further increases may ensue, but sellers mostly are agreoable to accept the rates ruling at ilato of' killing, past experience having proved that early shipments arc usually greeted with most favor.”
