LONDON WOOL SALES Murray, Roberts and Company are in receipt of the following wool market cablegram from London, dated November 22: —“The sales have opened with a good tone and competition is good, Continental buyers being the principal operators. Compared with the last London sale’s closing rates, greasy merino, tost descriptions, shows no material changie; wool suitable for the Continent market shows no material change; wool suitable for Yorkshire, par to 5 per cent, decline ; greasy merino, inferior, par to 5 per cent, decline; scoured merino, declined 5 per cent.; halfbred greasy, fine, par to 5 per cent, advance; crossbred greasy, medium and coarse, declined 5 per cent.; slipe, fine crossbred, advanced a shade ; slipe, other descriptions, declined' 5 per cent,; crossbred scoured, market shows no- material change. New Zealand merino, 60/64’s, yielding 48 jiet cent., opening rates of November series 9d, dosing rates of September series 9(jd; halfbred,. 56’s, yielding 60 per cent., lid (lOjjd) ; super fine xbd., 50’s, yielding 65 per cent., xbd., 48/50’s, mixed prep, and card., yielding 70 per cent., 7/jd (8d); fine xbd., 46/48’s, mixed prep, and card., yielding 72 per cent., 6d (6jd); medium xbd.. 44/46’s, prep;, yielding 74 per cent.., s.|d (6d): medium xbd., 44/46’s, carding, yielding 72 per cent., s;)b (fid); course xbd., 40/44’s, yielding 73 per cent,, sjd (51d): low xbd., 36/40’s, yielding 75 per .cent., 4fd (sd).
