CANNED APPLES
NEW AVENUE OF TRADE
LONDON, Nov. .13,
The recent .shipment of Tasmanian canned, apples suggests that the preference under British duties over the Californian ad Oregon product, combined with tin 1 Australian exchange, permit the development of a new line of Australian trade. The first arrivals opened mushy, mid the original buyer refused them. Nevertheless, they readily found another purchaser, who is willing to take subsequent consignments.
The trouble seems to he that the tipples are cut into too many pieces. Samples of the competing American lines have already been seat to Tasmania for the information of ennners.
