ADDINGTON SALES ANOTHER DROP IN PRICES STORE SHEEP REMAIN FIRM (Por Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, last night. At the Addington market the entries were smaller to-day in the fat lamb and fat cattle sections, but otherwise were of normal size. loth fat cattle and fat sheep fell in value, making lower prices than for years. An over-supply ol' porkers also sold at very low prices. The one satisfactory feature was a better fat lamb market. Store sheep: There was a small, but mixed entry. Good sorts of ewes and lambs were a shade dearer, but there was no change in other classes. Medium half-bred wethers made 8s Id to 10s Id : good ewes and lambs, 6s to 8s 3d; oidinary, 4s to 5s 6d ; good dry ewes, to 12s 4d. Fat lambs: The small entry of 800 odd head was only enough to supply butchers, and they paid up to 5d per lb. This was beyond the schedule for export, which was opened at 4£d per 361 b. and under, 41,(1 for 36 to 4211)., and 31 d for overweights and second grade. Fat sheep: An average entry came forward, including Southland sheep. The market was down for both ewes and wethers, the former from Is 6d to 2s, and wethers by Is to 2s. Exporters bought a few pens. Extra prime heavy wethers sold to 14s; prime heavy, Us 9d to 13s; prime medium, 10s to 11s 6d; ordinary and light, 8s to 9s 9d; extra prime heavy ewes, to 12s lOd; prime heavy. 7s 3d to 10s 9d ; prime medium, 7s to 9s; light and ordinary, 5s to 8s 9d. Fat cattle : A total of 350 was entered, all from within the province except several truck lots from Otago. There was a further easing of about 15s a head. Best beef made 20s per lOOlbs. ; good, 17s to 19s; heavy, 15s to 17s; ordinary cow, to 14s; and rough down to 11s. Extra heavy steers sold to £9 7s 6d ; prime heavy, £6 15s to £9 12s 6d ; prime medium weight, £5 10s io £6 10s : light and ordinary quality, £3 to £5 10s; extra prime heifers, to £7 12s 6d ; prime, £4 5s to £5 15s; medium, £3 to £4: lielii, (o £2 15s; extra prime cows, to £7 12s 6d; prime, £3 10s to £5 10s; light and ordinary, £2 to £3. Pigis: There was an over-supply of fat "'V-s. and prices were lower than for a long time.
