HEAVY LOSSES
FREE STATE RAILWAYS GOVERNMENT CRITICISED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) LONDON, Nov. 22. A Dublin correspondent says that the latest development is unrest among railway workers, who are urging the Fianna Fail to implement its election promises to reform transport and safeguard wages. Labor members of the Dail are sharply criticised for their failure to insist upon the legislation necessary. The railways are now facing bankruptcy. The receipts fell £560,000 in 1932 compared with last year. _ Under Mr. Do Valera’s economic policy the railways are losing £14.000 weekly, and are forced to pay £52,000 more for coal yearly owing to duties. Latbof is disappointed at Mr. Do Valera’s refusal to nationalise the railways.
