Ragwort was growing in New Zealand 40 years ago, according to statements mado by councillors during a discussion at a meeting! of the Wlmkatano County Council. Cr, Grant said, in reply to an assertion that ragwort would gradually die out, that the weed was observed glowing on the Napicr-Taupo road 49 years ago and was still flourishing in that locality.
