The Provincial Government has under consideration an oiler irom British and United States interests to purchase the Government-owned Pacific Great Eastern Railway, which has cost ,£I3,OOO,(XXX The terms would involve an extension of the line 200 miles into the Peace River district of British Columbia and Alberta, and also southward, opening up 20,000,000 acres of agricultural and fruit lands,
The proposal is to take over the physical assets ol the railway at about .£2,000.000, with an agreement for land grants and other natural resources accruing to purchasers on the line extension.
