PRINCE’S ULSTER VISIT SINN FEIN’S PROTEST LONDON, Oct, 24. Many Irish farmers arc refusing to pay the annuities. They complain that they are not getting a penny of the 121 per cent, bounty on fat cattle promised by the Government. On the contrary, the money goes to tho shippers, who form a ring and beat the farmers down to the lowest prices. kfr. Thomas, speaking at Binning-, limn, referred to Ireland as “my daily and hourly source of worry.”
It .is reported from Dublin in connection with the Prince of Wales' visit to Ulster in November to open Parliament buildings at Stormont, the Sinn Fein headquarters have .issued a •statement, protesting) against “this latest act of defiance of the rights and liberties of tho Irish people, and this further attempt to stabilise partition.” The statement adds that steps are being taken to voice the national resent ment.
