WHEAT BOOM AT VANCOUVER
VANCOUVER, Sept. 15. A rising flood of western grain is now rolling towards Vancouver and promises to assume proportions that may establish an all-time record for grain export through this port. To-day there are approximately i 1,000,000 bushels in the Vancouver elevators or on the tracks, representing about two-thirds of the available capacity. The export movement is growing steadily. So far it has been af a rate of about a million bushels a week, but bookings are piling up, more ships are arriving for cargoes for Britain and Europe, and before many weeks the immediate shipments are likely to exceed very substantially the current outward flow.
