WANGANUI CHAMPIONSHIP (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. In ilic filial of the Wanganui ladies’ provincial golf championship yesterday afternoon Airs. Ellery Gilbert (Wanganui) won from Airs. Russell (New Plymouth) four and two. In the seniidinals in the morning, Mrs. Russell defeated Airs. Golliuson (Palmerston North) one up, and Mrs. Gilbert defeated Airs. Ferguson (Auckland) tliret* and two. N.S.W. COURSE RECORD (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) SYDNEY, pet, 21. Mrs. Hettington created a course record on Ability links, winning the champion of champion women’s event, 111 holes stroke play, of the Manly Club, going round in 7!), with “birdies” at the sixth, the twelfth, and eighteenth holes, and needing only one putt on 10 greens.
