WILDISH CUP CRICKET
FIRST MATCH TO HAITI The first of n series of cricket, matches among the primary schools in the Poverty Bay district for the Wildish Memorial Clmllengo Cup was played yesterday, when Haiti, 37 runs, defeated Mangapapa by 12 runs. As the Oval was not available, the match was played on the Kaiti School ground, where the grass around the pitch had not been cut owing to the early stage of the soar,on, and the scoring was consequently low. Martin and Nield, for Kaiti, and W. Pickett, for Mangapapa, were the highest scorers, while the bowling honors went to Barbour and Griffiths, of Kaiti, ami T. Normanton, of Mangnpapa. Next Friday tho holders will xncct Te llapara.
