POISONED TOFFEE
25 SCHOOLGIRLS AFFECTED
(Received October 13, noon) SYDNEY, Oct. 13.
An unknown woman visited a Manly public school and gave the girls a bag of toffee, after eating which 25 girls became ill, vomiting violently. Most of them recovered after the teachers had given them emetics, hut some were still in pain late last night.
