PLUMBERS’ APPRENTICES
Under the .Finance Act, 1032, a 'magistrate has 'power to vary contracts of irpprontieoship, and Mr T. IV MeiXeil, S.M., in Wellington on M'omlny heard applications from a number of employers in respect, of their contracts with 24 apprentices to ! the plumbing trade. The employers ashed for a reduction in the standard award rates payable to apprentices and the rig-lit to ration work. Decision was reserved.
