MATTER BEFORE COUNCIL (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Wages and conditions in the boormaking trade tire being discussed in the Coiicinlition Council to-day. 'The employees are asking 2s 3d an hour for ordinary working hours, and th eemployers offer Is !Hd, with Is Old .for semi-skilled workers. The employers propose a 44-liour week, with provision for shifts to he worked outside regular hours. The workers want a 40-hour week, work ing on five days.
