E. Sanders, reported to-day that the number of applications now in hand was 374. A great deal /of work would be involved in investigating the applications and in measuring up the premises of the applicants. The more economies they could effect the better the advertisement would be for electric cooking, and no consumer would be penalised for economising. The only stipulation was that they must agree to do all their cooking on the electric stoves, and not to reduce the board’s revenue by utilising alternative methods of cooking.
