ELECTION FIGURES ANALYSED .SYDNEY, .Tune 22. According to figures compiled at the direction of the Premier, the completed election results show that of the electors who voted for Labor in 1930 ono in every four supported the United parties’ candidates at flic recent elections. In the computation of this estimate 76 electorates were, taken into consideration, the remainder being excluded because the United parties’ candidates were either not opposing each other or were returned unopposed. At the 1930 election Labor candidates polled 613,126 votes, but. on this occasion the figures were reduced to 458,091. Tn 1930 the supporters of the present Ministry polled 504.874.v0te5, compared with 671,105 at flic present election. This showed a decrease of 25 per cent, in the Labor total and an increase of 33 per cent, in the United parties’ total. Mr. Stevens said to-night it would therefore be seen that the swing 1o fhe Ministerial party was 25 per cent. —something that had not hitherto been witnessed in New South Wales.
