{TTf>ral<i Onrrespomivnt.) A quiet but pretty wedding, and the first directly out of the Ruakitmi Valley, was celebrated at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Wairoa, on Thursday. Tho contracting parties were Pearl, eldest daughter of Mr. .H. J, Kent* of Ruakituri, and Aubrey, only son of Mr. D. A. Mayo, of Nuhaka, and the late Mrs. Mayo. The church had been nicely decorated by friends of the young people with, arum lilies and asparagus fern. The Ven. Archdeacon Butterfield was the officiating minister, and Mi's. E. Hague presided at the organ. The bride, who looked very’ pretty, was attired m a white satin ankle-length dross made in panels cut in long lines; she wore a pretty embroidered veil fastened on with a coronet of orange blossoms and heather, and wore white satin shoes and hose to tone, and carried n bouquet of arum lilies. Tire bridesmaid was Miss Eva Kent, [sister of the bride), who wore an ankle length dress of primrose colored taffeta with a pale green coatee, with felt .hat, shoes and hose to . tone. The reception was held at •■-Mrs. Bitter’s, only the immediate relatives and friends of the parties being present. The health of the bride and bridegroom was enthusiastically honored, and many felicitations showered on the young couple. They left in tho afternoon for the south on then’ honeymoon tour and later return to reside in the district. The bride’s travailing dress was an ensemble of deck-blue tweed, with lint, and shoes to tone.
