THE AUSTRALIAN TOUR TWO LOCAL NOMINATIONS Two Gisborne nominations are to be made for the Now Zealand men’s team to tour Australia, (ho names being U, Scholium, full hack, and R. Moore, goalkeeper. The former is u member ot the Defence club, and has represented'•Poverty Ray for a number ot seasons. Moore, a member ot the Foresters dull, is a versatile player, and besides being brilliant in goal plays particularly well as a full hack and forward. It was decided to make tlieso nominations »at the weekly meeting of the Poverty Ray Hockey Association’s executive last night, when there were present: Messrs. P. Sim, in the chair, A CnsMn, T. Turbitt, W, Bullivant, (1. File, J. Henderson, A. McLean, and the lion, secretary, Mr. C. Greig. The payment of ground fees occupied the attention of the meeting for some time, it being maintained that the payment of 10s 6d per team in one sum was a very heavy burden on club finances at a period such as this. It was decided to levy a fee of Is per learn on each playing day, the amount to be payable to the referees before the commencement of tile games. It was believed that this method of payment would make it easier for Urn dub members to pay their way, ns the fee amounted to practically only Id per player per week. It was decided to ask all holders of representative jerseys to return them to Mr, G. File immediately. Teams are to he asked to .simply regulation balls for their competition matches, as provided in the rules. Tim association, it was pointed out. was aide to supply halls at a low cost. The following matches were set down for this week:— --Men, Thursday— Defence v. Y.M.t.'.A., No. 1 ground, at 3 pm., referees, .Messrs. Sim and .1. Turbitt. Y.M.P. v. Foresters A, No. 2 ground, at 2.15 p.m.. referees, Messrs. T. Simile and T. Atkinson. Wnituhi v, Foresters I!. No. 1 around, at 1.45 p.m., referees. Messrs. M. Here rind 0. It. Olsen: Ifiirli School, a bye. —Radies, Saturday— Waituhi v. Kia Ora, at 2 p.m., No. 1 ground, referees, .Messrs.
