A Meeting of creditors was held at Nelson in tho tyarikrupt estate of Lc'slio Artlmr Stringer; ifiricy goods dealer, formerly of Wellington, but now of Nelson. The liabilities were stated to be £3798 19s 3d (all unsecured creditors) and the assets were valued at £lßll 2s (id, leaving a deficiency of £3(516 16s 9d. A fcatufo of the case was the large number of loans secured front relations, the total being about £3OOO. The Official Assignee, Mr. F. Mitchell, concluded an exhaustive examination of bankrupt for two hours, after which he considered it his duty to have the case investigated by the Crown .Prosecutor. Seven creditors wore represented.
