CAMPBELL RETURNS SYDNEY ENGAGEMENTS (Por Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. Looking none the worse for his gruelling bout with Ambrose Palmer, the: New Zealand heavyweight champion, Alan Campbell, returned to the Dominion to-day from Sydney. In an interview, Campbell offered no excuse for liis defeat, except, that ho had not had sufficient training after arriving in Sydney. He had only seven (lays’ training before entering the ring. Campbell has a contract with Mr 11. I). Mclntosh, the Australian promoter, for two more tights in Sydney. A Japanese named Tony Horn is ifteii* tinned as one of liis opponents. Ray Nicol, of Invercargill, challenger for the heavyweight title of 'New Zealand, may also he Campbell’s opponent in the near future.
