Motljey Bros, ceased sinking on their gold reef at Mount Utopia, near Cobargo, at 30ft. level. Next day they resumed operations, and from "a dry crevice in the rock a large live frog, weighing a pound, was unearthed. Thu frog had big eyes, hill, on being brought to the daylight was found to lie totally blind. The prospectors christened the mine “The Big Frog.”
