£500,000 LOSS IN BANGKOK FIRE
BANGKOK, Dec. 15, ’l’he worst fire in the history of Bangkok destroyed 500 substantial buildings in the Chinese business centre, including the Bank of Canton, this morning, Some 2000 persons are homeless, and the damage to property is estimated at £500.000, of which perhaps one-fifth is covered by insurance.
