N.S.W. GOVERNMENT UPPER HOUSE DECISIONS ■ j (Received Dec. 2, ndon) SYDNEY, Dec. 2. The Government was defeated on five occasions in the Upper House early this morning. Each tithe thfe Labor group led by Mr. Coates voted against the Government. Tho Council rejected the Local Government Elections Bill, which provides for the postponement of the municipal elections in the proposed Greater Sydney area. The elections had been fixed fpr next Saturday, but Mr. Lang introduced a bill to have them postponed as far as the County of Cumberland was concerned until after the Federal elections..
