EARLY CAMPAIGNING
THE LABOR PARTY TOUR BY MR. HOLLAND (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Labor Party is losing no time in starting its election campaign, 'ivbic.ii is to. be opened this week with a mass meeting in the Wellington Town Hall, under the auspices of the local Labor Representation Committee. at which the leader, Mr. IT. E. Holland, will deliver a policy statement and Outline the main points of Labor’s manifesto, which will be issued a few days later. Mr. Holland intends to undertake a tour of the Dominion, and will work off a portion of his itinerary before the session’s end by addressing meetings at .centres within easy reach of Wellington, where the travelling involves a day’s journey only. These will include such places as Palmerston North, Wanganui, M'asterton, etc. Although only 47 Labor candidates have been announced to date, the list has yet to be finalised, and the party loaders expect that, arrangements will shortly be made to contest a groat many more electorates.
