U.S. MONEY IN BRITAIN
£131,000,009 INVESTED: GERMANY HOLDS £308,000,000 WASHINGTON, Sept. 9. Great Britain is second among European countries in respect of the extent of American investments in her undertakings, which amount to £131,000,000, as compared with £308,000,000 in Germany. t TJiis is stated in figures published by the Department of Commerce to-dav. Over two-thirds of the investments in Great Britain are direct, and over half of them are in manufactories. The total American investments abroad are estimated at about £3,000,000,000, £925,000.000 of _ which are in Europe, £777,000,000 in Canada, and £615,000,000 in South'America.
