TROUBLE IN CYPRUS NUMEROUS arrests MADE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received October 27, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Oct, 26. It is alleged that the Ivyrenia disturbances were .instigated by the Orthodox Bishop of Kyrenia, Reinforcements from Egypt arrived Oils morning and were hurried to Limassol, where a mob attacked and burnt the police station and destroyed the property Of loyalists. T,he situation is tense in many districts. 'Further rioting occurred at Famagusta. The police fired, killing one and wounding three. Numerous arrests have been made, including a Communist leader who was urging the overthrow of the British.
