50 LIVES LOST
“RED” SUBMARINE RAMMED (Received October 26, 11 a.m.) HELSINGFORS, Oct, 25. The German steamer Gratia rammed a Russian submarine in the Gulf of Finland, and 50 lives are reported to have been lost. After the submarine sank the Gratia’s S.O.S. was indistinct owing- to interference, supposedly due to a Soviet station seeking to prevent the broadcasting of tho disaster.
