HUGE SUSPENSION BRIDGE
HUDSON RIVER SPANNED NEW YORK, Oct. 25. The George Washington bridge, said to be the largest suspension span in tho world, being 4760 ft. between the anchorages, was opened on Saturday across the Hudson River, between New Jersey and New York City. The bridge took 30 months to build. Four thousand men were employed. The cost was £12,000,000, which will bo recovered from tolls.
