AUSTRALIAN FLOUR
BIG DEMAND FROM JAVA i -SYDNEY, Oct. 10. Evidence of the heavy demand in Java for Australian flour this season is provided by the arrival at Sydney yesterday of the Royal Dutch Packet Navigation Co.’s freighter he Maire, to load consignments for which the company could find no space in the liner Nieuw Holland. The demand Jins been occasioned by a number .of factors. hi the first place, flour for export is offering cheaply. Again, the Javanese nice crop has been comparatively a failure, and in the third place the decline of 1-he British sterling has accentuated the purchasing power in Australia o.f Dutch currency.
