The South African cricketers resumed their match against West .Australia in sultry weather.: Collaring the bowling, the visitors made play more lively than yesterday, scoring freely. Dalton was unlucky. He was sent back , by 'his partner, and was dismissed by a great shot. He made 53 in 104 minutes -and; hit three fours. Dalton outshone, the, others in excellent placing of the ball. , McMillan missed being- run out when 10, and then punished the bowling, compiling 14 in one over. The bowling was weak. Seven men were tried in 29 changes. The visitors declared when seven wickets were down for 352 at the lunch adjournment. Western •Australia, started badly, and lost two wickets for 47. Bromley hit tl'e bowling to all parts.of the ground, and finally hit: a great sixer, making 43 iii 33 minutes'. The ' innings ’ quickly ended shortly before time. The visitors’ bowling was not impressive. Bell is '/a good in-swinger while the ball is,shining,. but tires. The team does' not possess ;a really fust bowler.
