CROSSING TRAGEDY
FOUR PERSONS KILLED (Elec. Jel. Copyright-—United Press Assn.) .MELBOURNE, Oct. 23. A slninling railway track struck a motor, car on a level crossing at Trnralgon early this morning. Four of the occupants of the car : Hazel Davies. Ivy Laidlaw, Ecu Ink Williams arul a mini, Lnulsny Scarlett, all residents, of Yinnar, were killed arid eight others injured. The car party was returning from, a dance. The shunter tried frantically to *wnrn them, but the truck ran over the motor ear. A whole hour passed before the dead and injured could be extricated.
