THE PINAL TOUCHES , IMPROVING NEW GROUND Gradual improvements to the' Poverty Hay A. and’?. Associatiou’snew ground have been going on since tile last Show, arid visitors to the sliqw next week will see a. great difference. The lintii touches are now being made to finish off the vear’s work There are still a number ■of small matters to be attended to, and illicit will be einployod right, up to the opening of the Show in putting every.tiling in order. Last years Show patrons praised the association’s new grounds. They should be pleased again this year with the progress that has been made since then. A great deal of'levelling has been done, and this area is now covered with a good thick sward. On this portion, farmers will find a great deal of interest ;in the Agrioultural department’s demonstration plot. The natural terrace around the ring should give the public ample opportunity to witness all'that is going on therein. A new departure will be the provision of space for cars containing elderly or .invalid' persons, who will lie able to watch tile, events from tlicir conveyances. A slot telephone is to lie provided on the ground lor the use of patrons. Little alteration will be noticed in the 'sheep', and cattle' pavilions, which were "completed and in use at the last Show. Additional accommodation will have to ;bd provided l for the sheep, however, the rbcord outlies making-Hies pavilion inadequate to - House'all the exhibits. A: new structure of particular interest to dog fanciers is the shelter for the dog exhibits. This is capable of accommodating 140. dogs, and it should be a great asset tb those who Have entries in •this section. Steps are being taken to have the ground and 1 its entrance properly signposted'so that the public will 1 bo guided lo whatever pbvtion is desired. 111. addition, a cloak and parcels room is provided at the main entrance. A marquee AVill again have to db ditty as a dining hall, but as this proved satisfactory lastyear no fears are hold out that patrons will not be well catered for. Off the Show 1 grounds proper, hut a most important adjunct to the Show, are 45 large night Wilding pens for sheep. . •
