When Lord Leavcrbrooh’s ill-starred, campaign iyas. at libs'’.height the proprietor of the Saturday Review! wholeheartedly, ehibraped the, policy oyer the. head of Jits editor, Mr.'.Gerald Barry. No ; selfrespecting editor could , stand ,for this, and Mr. Barry did not' .take it lying down., .He resigned. To his surprisp and intense gratification,, practically allitho most distinguished contributors of. the journal' followed suit,. a j nd with touching loyalty placed their'services at his disposal;, Within a fortnight, Barry had founded, a new weekly, the Week End Review.
