MAORI ELECTIONS
REVISION OF ACT URGED (Per Pross Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. In the House of Representatives today, the Leader of the Opposition asked the Prime Minister whether lie would introduce legislation to bring the Electoral Act in its delation to scrutineers in booths at Maori polls into line with the sections of the Act governing the appointment and function of scrutineers at pakbha polls. Ho pointed out that under Alio existing law Maori scrutineers' were not allowed ill the polling booth until after tho votes had boon counted. ■ . Mr;: Forbes said ho would look into the-matter. ;
