“SMITHY” IN TURKEY LONDON, October 22... Tho Turkish Embassy belatedly ex- * plains that Air-Commodore Kingsford Smith was not imprisoned at Alilas. Officials point out that Smith was immediately given full facilities for continuing his flight but, owing to tho lateness of tho hour, he preferred to postpone his departure till the following morning.
