WORK RESUMED
BUTCHERS’ STRIKE ENDS MEN LOSE £16,000 (Received Oct. 23, 11 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Oct. 23. A mass meeting of slaughtermen decided by a large majority to-resume work under the terms of the settlement proposed by ipeat exporters. It is estimated that the men lost £15,000 in wages, and to no purpose, as they resumed under the existing conditions.
