At n result of a motor accident near the Cloverlca soldiers' settlement, Mr. Walter Johnson, of Huritorvillc, and Miss .Muriel Dorn, of Kairangi, were admitted to the I'alnierston Nor.th Hospital suffering from injuries. Mr. Johnson was riding a mqtor-cyclc with Miss Dorn as a pillion passenger. The motor-cvele overtook :i motor-enr and struck the running board of the car. Miss Dorn received a fracturo of the leg. The fchhmpianship award a.t the vVuingake Sheepdog Trial Club's annual meet, concluded last weolc, was won by li. KingVs Wail, one of the bestknown performers, in the district, and the holder of many championship awards, including that of the Waimata club, which held its meeting recently.
