Advice has keen received in Wellington of the successful appearance of the ex-New Zealand 1 and Olympic welterweight champion, against Dick Howell, a capable welter at Boston, U.S.A. The light took- place on April .1. and resulted in a knockout win for Morgan in the second round. Morgan injured his hand badly in the fight, and may he on the easy list for some, weeks, but his defeat of Howell shquid put him in line for further matches in the States, where Howell is considered one of tho moro prominent of the welterweight professional fighters.
