GRAND ORANGE LODGE
SESSI6N RESOLUTIONS (Per Truss Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The Grand Orange Lodge of New Zealand, in session yesterday,.passed resolutions recording regret at the passing of thp Nurses and Midwives Amendment Bill, prejudicing the status of the nursing profession and placing sectarian hospitals, in competition with public hospitals for State aid; objecting to the. exemption of lay teachers in certain private schools from the payment of unemployment levy; protesting against the extension of the dental clinic Service to scholars in denominational schools; and renewing the protest against free railway travel to children of denominational schools.
Officers were elected as follows: R.W.G.M.. Bro. Galbraith (Auckland); G.D.M., Bro. Agri'ew (Southland); G. Chap., Bro. Benfell (l)unedin) ; G. Sec, Bro. Patten (Dimcdin); G. Treas,, Bro. Pagan (Feilding); G.F. committee, Bros. Warren, (Canterbury), Hunter (Wellington), Holliriger (Christchiirch), Elliott (Auckland), Leggc (Christchureh), and Annett (Timaru).
