Aifter'having withstood the vicissitudes of nature and Ihe stormy elements for over three-quarters of a century, a wellknown landmark in the district, the old Mnori Church at MaroLiri, Fox ton, is bein" demolished. A more stoutly constructed place of worship for the native people in the district is to he built. The church is the second oldest along the coast, having been erected'by the native people fqr iUshop Bayfield 85 years ego.
