BOXING
DONOVAN BEATS JONES (Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, last night. Tommy Donovan (Waitara) New Zealand featherweight champion, at Hawera to-night outpointed Jack Jones (Hawera; ex-champion of New South Wales. The fight went, the full distance, but Donovan was too fast and nigged for Jones and wore his opponent down. Jones boxed well. Donovan did a fair amount of holding.
