The first race, for the Gotharrl Cup, was won bv Craddock'-s crew, winch de feated the Nelson crew, stroked by James, by three lengths. V. B. Owens' ' (Kawatiri crew) won the maiden race for tho Harley ("up iro.n W. Pickett's (Nelson) crew by H similar distance. Tho junior fours, For the B. B. Jones Cup, was won by a Nelson crew stroked by Marshall from a Kawatiri crew stroked by Strachan by three lengths. The river was in beautiful order after the ilood.
