KAWATIRI BEAT NELSON (por Press AssocicMon.) G-PEYMODTIB this day. Tbrce rowing races between Nelson and Kawativi took place on the Bullcr Kiver yesterday, Kawatiri winning two and Nelson the third. The first race, for the Gotharrl Cup, was won bv Craddock'-s crew, winch de feated the Nelson crew, stroked by James, by three lengths. V. B. Owens' ' (Kawatiri crew) won the maiden race for tho Harley ("up iro.n W. Pickett's (Nelson) crew by H similar distance. Tho junior fours, For the B. B. Jones Cup, was won by a Nelson crew stroked by Marshall from a Kawatiri crew stroked by Strachan by three lengths. The river was in beautiful order after the ilood.
